In the past years up to now, social media has emerged as an enormous norm for people, especially for Millenials. Name it, #Facebook, #Instagram, #Twitter, #Youtube and many more.
Wherever or whenever it becomes every day of life to people. Even the people that are not into social media need it. It became essential for communication and interaction whether for personal or professional purposes.
I myself am not super addicted to social media but I need it for everyday life especially on finding jobs. I use it to connect with people. The good thing about social media is when you were able to communicate with the important people in your life and spend time with them even if not in person or face to face, it feels like they are still with you.
Social Media for Job Seeking
As I've mentioned, social media is the most effective way to find a job nowadays, you can find one on the internet. You can visit a website or download an app. Examples are Jobstreets, Indeed, Linkedin, and the likes. You can also find one on Facebook groups, marketplace, or even on messenger apps where there are advertise chatbots of hiring companies.
Social Media for Business
Business owners see the potential of using Social Media as being the most effective way to promote and sell their products and services. As long as they have the right marketing plan and strategy to implement, their business must be a success! Business owners, CEO, COOs, and the likes are starting to hire virtual employees or freelancers and give them tasks that will make their business gain profits.
Social Media for Entertainment
I think the number one reason why people are so obsessed with SNS is for entertainment. They find interesting things on social media than in real life. They can have access to various personalities that they are curious about. They are updated on the latest trends, fashion, and gossips.
One example is watching vlogs, Youtube is a platform where everyone can watch different kinds of vlogs, videos, music videos, movies, documentaries, etc. It serves as the universal platform as it provides various information to people on the internet.
Tiktok is a famous platform where anyone can post videos and express themselves. It is also used by business owners to promote their products or services in an entertaining way. I have a Tiktok account but I'm not the type to post, I just watch in the FYP to kill time, and most of the time I enjoy it. Even ordinary people could get famous on this app if they post catchy content!
In my own opinion, I think Facebook is the most used app among all the SNS. It is like a complete set of all the social media platforms. In terms of communication, it has a variety of functions. Instagram and Messenger are also connected to Facebook where we can post and send pictures and messages to people.
In general, Social Media helps in terms of communication and profits to people around the world which is amazing!
